Includes

• Transfer from your hotel in Puerto Montt or Puerto Varas to La Paloma airfield, both outbound and return.
• Round-trip flight ticket Puerto Montt – Chaitén – Puerto Montt. We use two professional commercial airlines with many years of experience in the area.
• All ground transfers within Pumalín Park (shared with other Lodge guests).
• Accommodation in the Lodge cabins; if you are traveling with more people, select the cabin size that best suits your group. If the only available cabin has a larger capacity than your group size, you can still reserve it for your trip without extra charge. The price per person remains the same.
• Meals at Lodge Caleta Gonzalo, including breakfast, box lunches, and dinners (dinners include house wine). We can accommodate any dietary requirements or restrictions.
• Specialized trekking guides, WFR certified, with knowledge of all trails in Pumalín Park (all outings are guided and shared with other Lodge guests on similar programs).

Does Not Include

• Personal accident insurance: mandatory for this type of trip.
• Tips—entirely optional—for anyone you consider appropriate.
• Beverages beyond the “house wine” offered at dinners, snacks, sandwiches, or any other food not specified in the itinerary.

Itinerary

Day 1:

PM: We will meet at Lodge Caleta Gonzalo. After settling into your cabin, we will offer you a comforting lunch. In the afternoon, we will guide you on a walk along one of the trails near the Lodge, such as the Cascadas Trail or the eastern side of the Lodge, where you can explore the organic garden, the beach, and the hidden pools of the Gonzalo River. Later, our guide will brief you on the planned activities for the following day. In the evening, you can enjoy a delicious dinner and relax in your cabin.

Days 2, 3, 4 (depending on the selected program):

Our hiking days start early in the morning with a delicious breakfast at the restaurant. We will provide you with a packed lunch to carry in your backpack for the day’s excursion. At 9:00 AM, our vehicle will depart from the Lodge to take you to the starting point of each trail. The trail selection for the day will depend on several factors, such as weather conditions, visitors’ interests, and abilities. Your guide will make the final decision regarding the destination. Some popular trails include Cascadas (near the Lodge), Hidden Waterfalls, Alerces, Tronador, Volcano Interpretive, Michinmahuida, and, of course, Chaitén Volcano.

Last Day:

On your departure day, you will have breakfast at the Lodge and then be free to continue your journey north or south along the Carretera Austral.
