Restaurant

Our restaurant, located adjacent to the Lodge, offers a cozy setting and serves delicious meals with a unique atmosphere.

At the heart of your Pumalin NP journey lies food, and we ensure that it is healthy, scrumptious, and sustainable. We strive to minimize our impact on the precious wildernesses we protect, including our foodprint. Let us share a few ways in which we create impactful and memorable dining experiences.

We embrace the lodge’s sustainable food ethos, which involves celebrating regional produce, reducing food waste, and collaborating with local farmers, fishers, and artisans. Our goal is for our guests to embark on a culinary journey that indulges their senses while discovering local ingredients and learning about the spectacular wilderness area that surrounds us. We firmly believe that by sourcing locally grown food, we can reduce our “foodprint,” strengthen community ties, and create a healthier and more harmonious environment for all. To achieve this, our chef Carolina Caceres crafts seasonal menus, utilizing only what her team needs from the land, ensuring that the fare is always deliciously fresh and our foodprint remains light.

By sourcing seasonal ingredients from local communities, we not only reduce our environmental impact but also uplift livelihoods, making the Lodge’s food journey sustainable. Here, deliciousness goes hand in hand with healthiness. We gather a significant portion of our organic vegetables and blueberries from our own garden, along with honey, tomatoes, free-range eggs, freshly-baked bread, sinful pastries, southern hake, and world-class Chilean wines—all locally supplied treats.

Neither our suppliers nor our staff employ harmful pesticides, and any organic waste is composted for our vegetable garden.

Our open kitchen encourages guests to venture in and establishes a tangible connection between diners and chefs. As our chef Carolina puts it, “The open kitchen, with its exposed cooking process, allows guests to interact with the chefs and get a sense of the uniquely different dining experience at the lodge.”

Breakfast

Kickstart your day with a hearty country-style breakfast, whether you’re planning an adventurous outing or a relaxing time at Caleta Gonzalo’s beach or trails. Guests can anticipate a range of delights, including fresh eggs, local tomatoes, baked pastries, and daily house-made bread—enhanced with honey, jam, or avocado. We also offer an array of juices, tea, and coffee.

If you decide to spend your morning at the Lodge, our restaurant is the perfect place for a midday break. Enjoy a wide selection of sandwiches, soups, and salads before venturing back out into the park.

Box Lunch

Designed for those who explore the breathtaking Pumal■n National Park (many of our guests spend the day hiking and discovering its wonders). We understand the need to bring a suitable lunch for the day’s physical exertion. That’s why we offer box lunches that are not only suitable for carrying in your hiking backpack, but also delicious. These meals are perfect for enjoying while taking in the park’s best views. Our box lunches include a variety of options such as salads, sandwiches, and other favorite dishes.
